Too many AP courses??

I'm currently a sophomore, and the only AP class that I take right now is AP Calc AB.

I wanna take as many AP classes as possible during my junior and senior year.

These are my course plans for junior and senior year:

<junior></junior>

English 11 Honors
Theology 11
French 4
AP Chemistry
AP Calculus BC
AP US History
Physics

<senior></senior>

AP Language & Composition
Theology 12 Honors
AP Biology
AP Physics
AP Statistics
AP Government & Politics
AP Computer Science

Do you think 6 AP classes are just too much??

I put many AP classes in my senior year because I think I'll be busy during my junior year with extracurricular activities.

It really depends on the person and the teachers.
At my school those classes would not be too difficult to take all in one year, but with college applications and the upkeep of extracurriculars you might not have a life the first semester of senior year.

I think 6 might just be overdoing it. Like the commenter above said, you’ll be busy with college applications and all the stuff. It may seem doable at first, but you are going to kill yourself trying. I would say a max of 5. Unless you know that you will have lots of time to make those college applications flawless on top of getting the best AP grades, take all 6.

I think junior year is pretty good, 3 is a good number for junior year.

Six is allot for senior year, but if you can do it then go for it.

I’m in my junior year, 3 is enough to handle, so I’d suggest not putting any more there. However, like everyone else said, 6 is a lot. If your Theology class is in any way like mine, you’ll have a hard time keeping up with those APs as well. I’d say to go with a max of 5 APs (the ones you think you’ll enjoy most or be most interested in). And most of all, best of lucks!

I’m a senior taking 6 AP courses, and I’m finding it pretty manageable. Actually, I think it’s easier than when I was taking 4 AP’s last year.

I think what matters more is the type of AP course. For example, AP US History has a significantly higher workload than say, AP Psychology. Speaking of workload, AP Chem and APUSH together is going to give you a huge amount of that, just a warning.

It really does depend on the person though. Everybody has their own strengths and weaknesses, and what’s good for one person might not be suitable for another.

I decided to take 6 for my senior year. Bad idea.
Those, plus ECs and work make my life basically a living nightmare. I seriously regret taking so many hard classes in one year.
