Too many choices!

I've narrowed down my list to ten colleges but I need it narrowed down even more. I can't afford to send my SAT scores to more than maybe 5 colleges at most.

Ones I'm for sure applying to:

Sweet Briar College
Meredith College

Others on my list:

Chapman University
Centre College
Mount Holyoke
Smith
USC
Hollins
Agnes Scott
Haverford

Criteria:

1.) Vibrant, active community/campus life.
2.) Not a big party school (I rarely drink and never do drugs) but still a fun environment. Not overly-studious. I want to be involved with lots of different activities, not just studying.
3.) Preferably with potential merit aid for transfers or at least very good need-based aid. (Stats: 2140 SAT, 730/710 SAT II's, all 5's on AP tests, 3.85 UW/4.5 W GPA in high school, 3.8 GPA from UC Berkeley for two semesters).

My major is undecided, but will definitely be in the humanities and/or arts/film type area. I am interested in adding more LA-area schools to the list as well if possible, but the Claremont Colleges don't interest me much.

If there's any I've left out that seem to fit those criteria really well, I'd like to know about those too! Thanks.

I don’t know anything abut any of those schools, except that you’re leaving out a major women’s college (with money!) with the elimination of Scripps.

Can you get a fee waiver for the SAT scores?

Good luck.

“Preferably with potential merit aid for transfers or at least very good need-based aid.”

Here is one thread on that topic from the Financial Aid Forum. http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/financial-aid-scholarships/1463382-merit-scholarships-transfer-students.html</a> There also are some in the Transfer Forum.
