Depends...post stats and schools (predicted scores).

wow how do you have the time to apply to that many schools. Plus it has to be expensive as well.

You should try to limit yourself - - - knowing if you have too many reaches or safeties, or not. It is a lot, but if you have the money and effort, go ahead. Where do you really want to go though. I highly doubt you want to go to all 13 schools. Pick the ones that interest you the most.

If you are aiming at top 20 schools, then you maynot have too many. Just be sure you can be happy at each and every one.

heres is the list of schools. look at my past posts for stats...

UMich (safety)
OSU (safety)
Case Western (safety)
UPENN (no. 1 choice def)
Northwestern (reach)
WashU in St. Louis (no. 1 realistic choice)
Duke (major reach)
Columbia (crapshoot)
Harvard (crapshoot)
Yale (crapshoot)
Stanford (crapshoot)
Emory (match)
JHU (reach)
GW (match)

i guess thats 14...

I would suggest cutting out some 'crapshoots,' just because you'll be overwhelmed keeping track of documents and fees. Columbia, Harvard, Yale and Stanford are incredibly different. If you were to get into one, which would you like the most? Harvard's intense and in Boston, Columbia's active and in New York (location is a major consideration), Yale's old and in New Haven, and Stanford's a definite outlyer in northern California. You know all that, I'm just putting it in a coherent sentence.

I think of it several ways. #1, if you are accepted, would you actually go over somewhere else? Harvard was on my list, but I knew if I got in somewhere else I wouldn't give a darn anymore. #2, can you imagine yourself going there? JHU was also on my list, then I realized I couldn't stand Baltimore (no offense, anyone who likes MD). Make sure you will be torn up trying to decide where to go when you're accepted to these colleges :)

I'm serious. If you get into UPenn, you know you're going there, but if you don't, you need to be sure you'll be happy at the other places. When it comes time to choose, your heart should be wrenching because you don't want to turn down so-and-so, but so-and-so gave a better fin. aid package.

Don't do so many crap shoots, unless you really want to go to all of them.
