Too Much Additional Info???

In the additional info i put my last sibling, some additional honors i won, and i expanded about my first 4 extracurricular activities. (this became a page and a half long)

should i submit?
or is this too much? would they read all this?

i just feel like the activities section on the common app is not enough space to talk about my envolvement in red cross, arista, fbla and a summer program.

I recommend sending them your essay via snail mail.
Put it in resume paper (less than a dollar for four sheets or less) and then mail it out.
Show them you are willing to go the extra mile!

(That’s what I did anyways and I got accepted ED  Yay Cornell!)

really think that makes a difference?
im writting my essay now and having some trouble but will submit online, its much safer bet to getting there.

can u answer my first question?

** I meant, “I recommend sending them your resume via snail mail” not “I recommend sending them your essay via snail mail”. Your resume, not your essay!

As for those additional things, you’re going to have to put them in a resume or something. That was what I was trying to get at (eating and typing, my bad). I mean, I know on the Common App there is barely, if any space to write about your ECs, but the creators of the site probably do that so that you don’t do what you’re doing right now - writing a ton about the things you like to do.

You have to stick with those which are relevant to your interests (major, really) and then sum them up really quickly.

By “last sibling” do you mean another person who you know relative wise that goes/went to the college? I say stop putting more than what you have down already. That’s a ton of people you know.

If it’s too long, they won’t read it (most likely) as they have to read a ton of these!
Pick your best and put it in. That’s it. No more, no less. Make sure they all relate to your major.

the addition sibling is my 3rd sister who went to queens college.
i have 1 bro and 3 sisters, bro went to st. johns, sisters went to FIT, la guardia c.c., queens college.

does this go against me, they came into the country much older so had less opportunity then i did. is it required to put this info?

i will cut down my additional info. try to make 1 page i guess.

as for my major choice is either biological science or biology and society, which is both available in cas and cals. worth applying to both schools and an extra essay. can i use the same essay maybe?

No, you cannot use the same essay.
Let me rephrase that: You can use the same essay in both but you should not.

The only thing I put in additional info was the 4 summer programs I went to.
