I'm a sophomore at Pomona and wanted to add that one amazing aspect about the school is that everything is usually free! Granted, you still have to pay tuition, but Pomona does an amazing job of making opportunities available to all students regardless of socioeconomic status. I sort of took that for granted during my freshman year, but I'm studying abroad now and am just starting to realize how many free things Pomona provides to its students.

And Family Weekend ended today.

anyone know when will the ED admitted students visit the campus?

There are admitted student days in April, but I'm assuming most of the ED admitted students had already visited campus prior to applying?

I visited the spring break of my junior year, but I was just wondering if there is a day for the ED admit students. Thanks for the info!

There isn't, but you might consider coming on admitted students day in April anyway, and I know that if you notify the admissions office they will accommodate for you.

Plus it's always lots of fun to come and stay overnight with current students when you KNOW that you will be here next year, having the same experiences.

We've got Suraj.

This is true, Suraj fleshes the econ department out to a very high caliber.

"The Office of Admissions continues to tirelessly recruit students from public schools," ;)

are freshman allowed to have cars?

Yup, anyone can have a car. Parking is easy.

oo sounds good. thanks!

youd be suprised about number 3. I fell in love with Pomona over night and I had to argue with my mom about its legitimacy cuz she had never heard of it. She said if it was Stanford, shed be happier about me going to Cali.

omg that is almost exactly what my mom said. i live in Boston, and she isnt thrilled that i have some california schools on my list. she said, "if it was an amazing opportunity, like Stanford or something, it would be different." i dont think she realizes that Pomona and Claremont McKenna would both be really amazing opportunities if i actually got in.

ShayO--

I live in Greater Boston also, so if your mom has any questions about Pomona or the Claremonts, she can call me. PM me if you need my contact info.

Pomona sounds like a great school! How does it compare with Claremont McKenna-what are the similarities? what are the differences?

Well I heard that CM is more of a party school, and the sense I got from it was that it was more for economics/business.

who is fernando lozano?

There are many more differences between CMC and Pomona than the alcohol policy. It may be a better idea, to get the best feedback, to put this in a new thread or see an old one that addressed this topic.
