I was looking into law school for going into IP law. Here are my basic stats:

NC State University
B.S. Electrical Engineering (Dec 2010)
Graduated GPA 3.68
Graduated in 3.5 years (due to monetary constraint)

Co-op at IBM

Volunteer teaching assistant at local high school

I have started a master's in EE since I know it helps in your career as an IP lawyer. I have taken the LSAT but was very unnerved at the time and ended up canceling my score. I can test at about 170, however. My question is what do people think my chances are for a Top 14 school. Also are there anythings that I could do to improve my chances?

I am not counting Cornell nor Ann Arbor in my possible schools because I have two professors that went there and one that went to Ann Arbor so I believe with good recommendation letters from them I feel as though I should be able to get in those two schools.

Also would a recommendation letter from a department head that went to MIT (for grad school) help much?

P.S. My GPA would have been at about a 3.73 but I got into a motorcycle accident (not my fault) two weeks before finals this past spring and it brought my grades down, a little, that semester. Not sure if this would make a difference or not in a personal statement but I mention it none the less.
