Top boarding school..

Can anyone tell me some top boarding schools which are strong in math and science? Top schools meaning Choate, Deerfield, Andover, Exeter, St. Paul, and more...

Of the top boarding schools, I think Exeter tends to have the reputation for being the "strongest" in terms of math science. Deerfield has the newest facilities at the moment (their new science center opened last year). All of the schools are extremely strong in all academic fields though; I know the "top boarding school" I went to offered classes beyond the AP level in almost every subject and would modify/extend the curriculum if any student ever approached the end of a track.
Pick a school based on where you'd be most comfortable and happy. You'll wind up stressing less, doing better academically and extracurricularly, and having more college options (where "strong in math and science" actually matters)

I would also suggest you go on to the school web sites and check out each of their course offerings in math and science. I think math you'll see about the same, but in science you may see some differences. Not that one is stronger than another, but they may have a slightly different focus that may be more or less of interest to you.

Lists are everywhere, but those within the underlying link are arguably accurate.

Top School Listings by Category - Boarding School Review

go to a "top ten" site. those are pretty much the best schools. it's an association with andover, exeter, st. pauls, hotchkiss, etc. those are all gonna have excellent math and science programs.

Andover has the top physics program in America and a computer science program almost as good. Exeter is the place to go for math and I've heard Loomis is good at bio? Not sure about the last one.

i know choate has a science research program that the other schools don't offer.

from their website:

The Science Research Program (SRP) offers motivated and independent science students the opportunity to practice true laboratory science. The limitations of time, expertise, equipment, and/or space in a typical high school science program do not allow for the level of scientific inquiry and experimentation that is the hallmark of true science research done at the university level. The SRP fills these aforementioned gaps by ultimately linking each student with a professional scientist in whose lab the student will participate in on-going research or address a novel scientific question through experimentation.

This honors program consists of three linked segments: 1) three terms of training in the basics of scientific inquiry and experimentation, 2) a summer of research in a university (or similar) laboratory, and 3) a final term assembling a manuscript of the summer work that aims to meet the standards of a professional publication.

kind of cool

What about Lawrenceville??

Lawrenceville's strength in English and History far overshadows its Math and Science departments, which are strong, but just can't compete with its incredible humanities.

i was really impressed by the math and science letters i received from deerfield.
