top computer science and economics programs

What are schools that are strong in computer science and economics? I know MIT and Stanford have great programs but they are really far reaches for me. I'm looking at Carnegie Mellon, UCB (in-stater), and Cornell so far. Does UIUC or University of Washington have strong economics program? Thanks.

nearby UChicago has epic economics. Not sure about computer science though…

ya. Chicago is good school but they also don’t have engineering. So far my interests are in computer science and economics and maybe engineering. Carnegie Mellon, UCB, and Cornell have good programs in all three. As long as the university is strong in two of the three categories I’m fine.

They’ve got Computer Science. Looks decent, but keep in mind without an engineering school the opportunities for you to apply your craft will be more limited. For example, engineering schools are filled with interdisciplinary project teams, giving you a lot of opportunities to work in conjunction with material science, civil/mechanical/electrical engineering topics.
