<p>Other note:
one coach said he would talk to admissions on my behalf and said I put myself in a really good position to be a good candidate -- how much should this help?</p>

<p>I’m gonna be honest: Every one of those schools is a crapshoot. You need a safety school. Out of those schools, Hopkins is the closest thing to a safety, but in reality, you can never be certain of admission to somewhere like JHU. </p>

<p>Take all of that with a grain of salt. I think you stand a good chance of getting into all of those schools bar Harvard and Yale, which are beyond ridiculous in terms of admissions (but still marginally doable). That said, a true safety is always necessary.</p>
