Top Full Time MBA Programs to break into banking

<p>Graduated Stern UG '07 Finance after transferring from CC (combined GPA was 3.4, Stern GPA was 3.0) . Worked at Dun & Bradstreet in treasury for 6 months, then worked a bunch of ****ty jobs including a year-long stint as a used car salesman. Got into Avis where i did buy-side M&A analysis (we bought Zipcar), left (since i was a temp) for a full-time financial analyst job at US affiliate at a Japanese Mfr. of medical equipment. </p>

<p>Basically, I have never worked for a bank.</p>

<p>I want to go to a top b-school, (28 years old), but do I have a chance of getting into places with my ****ty work history? </p>

<p>Can I break into banking with a prestigious MBA having no banking experience (at which point I'll be 31)?</p>

<p>If you can get into a top MBA school, you will have many options, including banking…but top grades are important in securing a good summer internship.</p>

<p>Why don’t you just try to apply? And yes, it is tougher to get into banking as you get older.</p>
