Top National Merit Scholarship Schools for business

I was wondering if anyone can give me any information on how good the undergrad business programs-particularly finance or accounting-are at some schools that offer a lot of money for national merit finalists. After briefly looking at the scholarships offered by school, I have a list of a few schools including Boston University, Northeastern University, University of Tulsa, Texas A&M, and University of Arizona that offer a lot of money and supposedly have good to decent b-schools. If anyone could give information about these schools (overall school profile, internships, study abroad, anything!) or has any other schools that I should consider as a NMF, I'd appreciate it! Thanks :)

How much merit do you want? In other words, how much do you want to pay?

Does BU give much for NMFs? If so, how much?

Alabama has an excellent Accountancy program.

*The University of Alabama’s Culverhouse School of Accountancy’s undergraduate program is ranked No. 18 in Public Accounting Report’s 2012 Annual Professors Survey.

The NMF award is large…free tuition for up to 5 years. 1 year of housing, $3500 per year stipend, $2000 study abroad stipend, and iPad.

It also has a spring internship program that matches students with Accountancy firms.

January 1 through early April is the busiest time of the year for most firms that provide accounting, auditing and tax services. The Culverhouse School of Accountancy’s spring internship program helps firms meet deadlines. It gives students the enhanced ability to make career decisions, a greater appreciation for remaining academic work, increased marketability, monetary compensation and three semester hours of academic credit. At the end of their internship many interns receive permanent job offers.

I’m obviously partial to my own school, the University of Oklahoma, whose business program is well connected to area employers and which offers a few interesting tracks. This summer I lived with two energy management majors and both will graduate with full time job offers from Fortune 500s. My roommate this semester is a business major and over the summer, she had a paid internship with a major oil company that she found via my school’s career services.

One other business major I know said the school has put a good deal of money into its bschool, although since I don’t take any classes at Price (OU’s college of business), I don’t know how true that is.

USC likely has the best business program among schools which award money to NMFs although admission is not guarenteed and the award is only half tuition.

According to my list of NMF offers by school, BU gives $20,000 to NMFs. It’s a good amount, but I’m not sure if it would be better to go somewhere that would give me at least 3/4s+ tuition. I’ll be sure to look into Alabama though.
