Aside from the ivy league schools, would you consider BC as a top university and in the same level as umich ann arbor, CMU, Wash U, Rice, etc. Or would you say that it is a tier below these elite schools
USNews is probably a realistic ranking of universities, but the real question you should ask yourself is, what major, what programs and what type of collegiate experience do you seek? At what cost? What location?
CMU, for example, has an excellent Comp Sci and engineering program, as does Michigan. BC does not offer engineering, but is strong in many of the liberal arts, and in Biz. But the essence of BC is the Jesuit education.
Ann Arbor has the Big House. Boston is a wonderful city for college.
In short, all great experiences, but different.
