As asked above
What are your stats?
I’m still only a sophomore. I go to a tough private high school with a GPA of roughly 3.8 UW and 4.0 W. Based on pre-standardized tests, I’ll prob be somewhere around 28-31 for the ACT and in the 1300s for my SAT.
Oh and I live in Indiana and know about Kelley just don’t know if I could get in.
Bloomberg, Forbes, Niche, Poets&Quants, USNWR, etc., all publish undergraduate business school rankings.
~Midwestern schools that do well in some of these rankings include:
Carnegie Mellon
Case Western
Illinois
Indiana
Miami-Ohio
Michigan-AA
Michigan State
Minnesota
Notre Dame
Ohio State
Pittsburgh
University of Denver
Washington University in St. Louis
Wisconsin
Many of these won’t be less selective or more affordable than Indiana is (for an Indiana resident).
Your best bet may be another public university in Indiana (such as Purdue, Ball State, or Southern Indiana).
Many state flagships and directional state universities are likely to have decent programs in accounting/finance/marketing (due to high demand from both students and local employers).
You might also want to consider private schools such as Butler, John Carroll, or the University of Denver (which all show up in the T100 of one ranking or another). These schools may not cover as much financial need as a super selective school like ND or WashU, but may offer competitive merit awards (maybe enough money, if you qualify, to make their costs competitive with OOS public alternatives.)
Creighton University in Omaha, NE would be a school to consider. Good business school in a pretty dynamic business center. Nice campus, pretty much adjacent to downtown Omaha. Nice baseball stadium. NCAA plays the College World Series there. Good luck and enjoy high school as high school, not pre-college (free unsolicited advice)!
Thanks for all the advice. For @tk21769 , I’ve heard a little bit about John Carroll’s business school to the extent that my grandfather is an alum of the school. Do you know id this would be beneficial in any way?
Notre Dame consistently ranks very highly in undergraduate business schools as well as overall undergraduate education. I would definitely consider it if you want a business school in the Midwest.
