Topics Between Essays

So originally I had the topics between the biography essay and the other two pretty well planned out. But halfway through my biography essay, I realized that I could use another aspect of the particular obstacle I've faced (a legal issue that's lasted approx. 8 years) as the topic for my "risk" essay.

So the question is, would it be unwise to focus TOO much on that situation across my essays? I know QuestBridge is supposed to emphasize that sort of thing, but I can't help but shake the feeling that it'll work against me somehow, make me seem too one-sided.

For reference, if I do decide to scrap my planned risk essay, I already have an idea of how I'd approach the topic of my family's legal issues differently. But I was just wondering, for anyone who's been through this process before, what do you think?

Admittedly, I’m applying right now.

But from what I’ve been told, the best thing to do is focus on completely different things for each essay. They are searching for a complete picture of you not a complete picture of a legal issue, no matter how great.

^I agree. .
