Tough decision to make- Intel vs IBM internship.Any advice will be highly appreciated

Hello all! I am a graduate student in Computer Engineering and my career goal is to work in the semiconductor industry. Fortunately I got internship offer from both Intel and IBM. The following technical groups offered me the position.

Intel: Parallel computer architecture verification
IBM: System Z architecture

I don't have any previous working experience. I would really appreciate to get some feedback. Especially I assume that those who already interned for various companies or have job experience can help me a lot with some advice. However there are some factors that I am considering like- Area of interest, future prospect, salary/benefit package (if I can make it to full time) etc.

I’d get a hold of someone from each company (I suspect that each offer probably came from someone in HR. Is this correct?), tell them you are currently considering multiple offers and would like to ask some questions.

And then, you know, ask them…

Company-wise, I’d go with Intel (disclosure: I have a lot of Intel shares). But that little word “verification” in the Intel job would give me some doubts. So dig a little deeper into the offers to see which you would rather do.

BTW, it’s a nice problem to have.
