Tough SAT Math Question

Guys, all I know is that the minimum value should be the vertex because the parabola has a positive slope, beyond that i don’t know. please help

Guy, the answer is E, if you didn’t know.

One of the few parabola facts that the SAT tests is that the c-value is the y-intercept. And the only thing we know this time is that it has to be greater than -6 because as you noticed, the minimum value is at the vertex and this vertex is not on the y axis.

It is also useful to know that if a>0 you get an upward facing parabola with a minimum at the vertex. If a<0 you get a downward facing parabola with a maximum at the vertex.
