thanx a bunch

According to USPS, first class mail takes 3 days max anywhere inside the 50 states. Practically, that applies reliably to the 48. A week? lol

if you didnt make semifinalist, do they just not inform you? I havent gotten anything. Im gonna call tomorrow probably.

yeah because we've already turned in our semifinalist packets. they were due march 2nd

quick question- does anyone know how many semifinalists they selected?

in the letter, it just says finalists will find out in april. does anyone know around what date, or when exactly they found out last year? i'm going to be out of town a lot that month presenting at conferences and will not have easy access to mail. also, do they just notify finalists?

seven nights--

i just went through the forum archives, and last year some parent called to find out how many semi's were selected. according to that post, there were 1,000 semifinalists. a message from the year before says the same thing. so 1 in 10 isn't terrible odds..!!

It's April-anyone hear anything yet?

haven't heard anything yet
apparently we will get a big FedEx package is we are chosen
last year, packages went out around this time and were sent by 2 day mail

how do you know they where sent out around this time. anyone have any specifics ??

wish i did...

I won :) holllaaa

I received my letter yesterday and I won also!

maddog-you going to kentucky or nah?

what did you receive in the letter? What type of mail was it sent?

I haven't gotten anything yet. I know someone from IL who got one. Maybe they sent all the finalists first then the loser rejections second. Or they are rolling them out. Who knows. At the rate they did the first wave of semifinalists no one knows anything. But then again there's any urgency to ASAP this time around.

Anyways, date of postmark, type of postage, and place of mailing would be most helpful.

My letter came UPS and I got it on Monday. It came from New Jersey and I'm in Utah. I am definitely going to Kentucky.
