Transcript when not easily requested?

I know that schools (colleges) want you to send all transcripts from school and community college but what should you do when it is not so easily requested? I enrolled in one course at UCSD extension and it seems that getting the transcript may be troublesome. Would it be advised to send in it as I would do my high school transcript or would they not mind so much? I’m afraid that they (Stanford) might defer me as they did a friend when he failed to send in his community college transcript. I did not mark transcript available on the common app so would they note that? I’m guessing I shouldn’t take the risk but if anyone has anecdotal advice or advice of any other kind, I would greatly appreciate it!

*At the program I attended, UCSD extension, transcripts must be requested in person at 15 dollars a piece after signing waivers or something. I view the course as similar to one of hose (summer at Brown or summer at Harvard programs). Do people send in transcripts for those?

Was it a class or not?

Call the admissions offices and see if they want transcripts from extension courses. At least at our local flagship, extension courses are not graded, which might make a difference in whether the places you are applying are interested in seeing the transcripts.

Contact (call/email) the college in question and ask. That is the only way to find out the answer with 100% certainty.
