<p>I graduated from high school in 2004 and have dedicated the past 2 years to a full-time employment position. I have been an employee here consistently over the past 2 years and even achieved a managerial position. I am entering my first semester of college coursework at 20 years old and I am interested in applying for transfer admission to Middlebury following my completion of two years there.</p>
<p>I will be attending a state university where I will be able to commute and still maintain a part-time position with my employer. The program that I am leaning towards most is a 2 year degree program in general studies which many students use in the transfering as a "springboard", if you will.</p>
<p>Other than working, I am/have been a volunteer coach for the local youth lacrosse program, CCD teacher in my church, involved with the Special Olympics, volunteered at my church's soup kitchen, and over this summer, I will be interning with the Democratic National Party's headquarters in my state.</p>
<p>I am planning on earning a 3.8 during my first two years starting this fall and was wondering what advice/comments/opinions people had to share and offer on this topic. Am I making a wise choice in enrolling in a "general studies" program during my first two years in college studies? Will Middlebury require me to submit my SAT I scores still (They are close to 4 years old right now but an 1180 M:610 V:570)? Anything else that I forgot, please feel free to tell me! I am very excited to beginning my college career and hopefully doing well enough to transfer to a school as wonderful as Middlebury.</p>
