I know that every school gets easier when you attempt to transfer in. I am a transfer student am am looking at a few schools in the carolina's. Does anyone know what the average admitted GPA for a JC transfer student is? I have tried to call and they will say they will look at anything above a 2.0. I find it hard to believe that I can get in with a 2.0. I have called and emailed and all they will say is a 2.0. I have my AA and pretty much a 3.0. Do I have a chance? Help me out please!!!!!

kyleram07, I do not think Wake gets alot of transfers, as they have pretty high student retainment, therefore, there is not much information that can be offered to you from student experiences. I would say try applying, and take it from there. I don’t think they are telling you that you can definitely get in with a 2.0 GPA, just that there is a bottom line. It will depend on how strong you are as a whole package, and who else is applying, ect. Best of luck to you!

thank you!!! Just every school I have applied to has what they are looking for on their site or will let you know when you call or email. I emailed Marquette they said 3.57 is the average so anything above that you have a decent chance, same with VT they said 3.8. After that I gave up on VT. Great school, great people, I’ve had some set backs that didnt allow me to get to that tier of students. Thanks!
