I have had that button and message for over a month, weird
@terr24lr @nottodaycc I had the exact same reaction. I did not have that button when I checked two days ago. I applied on February 28th; not sure if when submitting the application has anything to do with that button being active on one’s portal.
@sc4 @madisonj643 When you first sign into the portal, click the “student” tab at the top. From there click on “Review My Application(s)”, and then “Fall 2017”. This takes you to the page with your account summary and the application requirements checklist table. At the top of the table, under Application Data, I see a field that says “Decision:” with an active “Click Here” button in the cell to the right of it. For me, this cell used to contain the phrase, “Decisions are not currently available”, or words to that effect, in bold letters.
Mine still says “Decisions are not currently available”. Probably a bad sign… ):
I’ve had the decision ‘click here’ button for a while now, not sure exactly when it came up & i applied the day before the deadline. I highly doubt it means anything at all because everyone is going to need a decision? additionally theres no way they knew i was admitted/rejected by the time that button appeared, so it doesnt mean anything. it is probably just random-- and might even depend on what school youve applied to and if the school has gone and updated it yet. I wouldn’t read in to it at all.
Yeah I still have the “Admission decisions are currently not available.” I agree with @packman012 though, I doubt it means anything
Just saw a post on Instagram from Brown University: “Brown joins alliance working to expand access for talented low-income students … Universities have the potential to level the economic playing field for college students, regardless of the financial circumstances of their families.” Why you lyin’ Brown :^o ??? Oh wait, I forgot transfer applicants don’t count…
Okay this whole back-room thing is scary af. Also found myself on Wiki
@studboy97 I am also on the wiki page, but I think I’m a long shot because I need a significant amount of financial aid, and because I’m transferring from a CC.
- I’m also on the Cornell thread and you did such a solid job articulating your Milo argument. You’re super dope, love seeing people on the left who can approach conservatives and alt-right ideologies in a calm and collect manner.
- What’s the wiki page?
@lbmoney Thank you! It was never my intention to talk about politics, but I felt like I needed to respond to that. I really appreciate your mentioning it!
It’s a student/staff directory thing at Brown. Some people can find themselves on it while others can’t. I can’t remember what the link was, but if you go back a few pages, you’ll find it.
@lexluther96 I found myself in the directory but I think everyone’s on it!
Just like some other people, I got that pop-up “Click here” button for the decision a long time ago…does that probably mean they evaluated my app quickly and just rejected me? I bet so.
I have this button too. It showed up today. Weird.
@MysteriousDude I bet that’s better news in your case. Somehow I feel that my fate was decided for the worse almost immediately…
I still don’t have a button
Button just showed up for me too
I guess we’ll see @Gdawg30 … but I had some good correspondence with the admission officer assigned to my region during this process which gives me some hope at least. They seem really excited but I’ll just hold my horses and wait till final decisions.
If the buttons are reflective of decisions being made maybe they went to committee today?
@MysteriousDude What do you mean by excited?
