Transfer Chances (GW-->Brown)

I am looking to transfer out of GW and Brown is one of my top choices…my reasons are academic (large classes, pre-professional attitude here) as well as locational. I am an international affairs major and am very interested in Brown’s IR program.

SATs:

Math 650
Critical Reading 710
Writing 790
combined: 2150

SATII:

US History- 730

GPA: 4.35/5- very competitive public high school

First semester at GW: 3.9 to 4.0 (most likely 4.0)

I AM APPLYING FOR FINANCIAL AID

Do I have any chance whatsoever? I’d appreciate any thoughts.

Thank you.

Bumped…

I don’t know…alot of freshman applicants have stats way higher than this and EC/leadership to match. What about your ECs?

College ECs? I have a pretty significant amount of volunteering hours here.

Just racking up volunteering hours doesn’t count for much – it’s what you accomplish and what you learn while doing so.

Don’t know the answer, but the focus will be on your GPA & need for financial aid as well as your reason for wanting to transfer to Brown.
