<p>I would really like to transfer to UNC next year, I didn't make it in as a high school senior, but I'd like to give it another go. Right now I'm a freshman attending a 3rd tier university. Here are my stats:</p>
<p>College GPA: 4.0
High School GPA: 3.7 unweighted
SAT: 1260 (1920)</p>
<p>I got a rec. from my Poly Sci prof that I thought was pretty strong. I also got hired as an opinion columnist for the school newspaper here at the beginning of the month, but I didn't get to mention this in my application. Do you think I should call the admissions office up and maybe mail them a couple of my columns? Do you really think it would be that much of a difference. I was kind of hesitant to apply again considering I got flat out rejected last year, but from what I understand, out of state admissions to UNC is very competitive, and transferring is comparatively easier.</p>
