Hey! I will be in community college next year (for financial reasons), and I'm thinking about transferring to an out of state, public university.

For a major in Economics, do you think that these schools are reputable? Also, if you have personal experience, could you tell me about their social life (transfer students)? Thank you in advance. My projected GPA is a 3.5, and I have a 3.4 (UW), 4.03 (W). My SAT score is 1850, and I assume that this is average for college bound students.

The schools are:
University of Vermont
University of Rhode Island
University of Virginia
University of Michigan, Ann Arbor
University of Colorado

I'm currently in California, and while I can get into some UC Schools (excluding Berkeley, Los Angeles, and San Diego), I'm not sure if I would want to go to them because I want a change of scenery from the sunny climate of So. Cal.

If anyone is in the same boat as me, please let me know.
