Transfer common app edits

I made edits to the “Other information you’d like to share” section to tailor it to a second college after submitting my application to the first college. However this change shows up in my application to the first college when I download it.

  1. How do I see what the application looked like when I submitted it to a college? Not being able to do this is making me very stressed because I know sometimes edits don’t properly save and whatnot
  2. Do edits to your application (in editable sections) automatically apply to already-submitted colleges?

It has to either be the case that 1) the edits I make to my application after submitting it automatically apply to already-submitted applications, or 2) I cannot check what the submitted application looks like, and neither of these possibilities are good

" How do I see what the application looked like when I submitted it to a college?" I.e. what the actual submitted document looks like/how do I download it

Oops I didn’t realize I can edit my post and now I can’t delete my reply

You need to save a copy for yourself.

No. Once you submit, you’re done. Any updates go through the applicant portal, or whatever method the college wants for updates

Those answers are incompatible.

When I save a copy of a submitted application for myself, edits I made after submitting it are shown.

Either I can’t see the application in the form it is submitted or edits do apply in retrospect. Figuring out which case it is (I suspect the former) is what this thread is about.

Save as pdf or print a copy
