I recently got accepted as a transfer student to New College. However, I am somewhat concerned about whether or not I would be able to graduate on time if I attended. I am currently finishing the second semester of my Sophomore year, so I am hoping to receive 3 semesters and 1 ISP (their maximum amount of transfer credit) and then be able to complete 4 more semesters to receive their minimum 7 semesters and 3 (I think) ISP credits needed to graduate. Unfortunately however, my planned major at my previous school was architecture. Ideally, my architecture classes, which were highly conceptual/theoretical design studios, would transfer as art credits. However, I am concerned that the registrar might interpret those courses as the kind of pre-professional or engineering courses that they refuse to offer transfer credit for, which my architecture classes, as courses from a non-professional program that contained absolutely zero references to engineering, in fact had nothing to do with.

I have yet to receive a report from the registrar about what kind of credit I would get, but I'm feeling concerned. If they make the decision that I expect them to make then I will attempt to appeal it (and show them my syllabi etc). Does anyone here have any specific experience with obtaining transfer credit from New College?
