I'm deciding between Grinnell, Macalester, Pitzer, George Washington U, and U of Rochester.

I am a Political Science Major and Arabic is the language I will be studying.
I love to be involved and I am a track athlete.
Everything will be paid for whatever school I go to. Money isn't really an issue.
I am a minority so I do like diversity in terms of race, economic backgrounds, international, etc.
I am deadlocked between the five. They all offer like a different kind of college experience.

Any suggestions, insider tips, remarks regarding reputation??

Last year I attended U. of St. Thomas, a school near Macalester and then transferred to Pomona which is right next to Pitzer. So I can talk a little bit about those two schools but besides Mac and Pitzer I don’t know much… I know that Grinnell is in the middle of Iowa and I never considered going there, haha (also one of my friends chose Macalester over Grinnell).

I’ve never really thought about which I would chose between Pitzer and Macalester. Both schools are somewhat similar in that they have a hippy-school stereotype. I’ve never taken an actual class at either school but I have a pretty good sense of what their respective campuses are like.

It’s a close call, but judging by your interests I would probably recommend Macalester. It’s a very diverse school and I’ve heard good things about their Political Science. Of course, if you went to Pitzer you could take classes at Pomona, CMC or any of the other colleges.

If you hadn’t given any specifics about your interests I probably would’ve recommended Pitzer just because it’s in Claremont, California and it’s much warmer during the winter. Also, the Pitzer student body is pretty cool, they’re my favorite Claremont College besides Pomona :)
