Transfer From Community College to a University?

My grades in High School are Eh. Nothing spectacular, but nothing good enough to get me into a university straight out of High School. So Im going to have to transfer from a Community College. Im wondering:

Will the University decide whether or not to admit me based on my high school and community college grades combined(if so, will I still get admitted?) or just my community college grades?

Im also wondering if I could major in Computer Science if Im alright at Math? I know it is going to take hard work and dedication- Im willing to work hard and study harder.

Thanks!

Ps: Sorry for any typos, Im on an ipod.

Check the requirements of the colleges you’re interested in attending. NYS community colleges have articulation agreements with our 4-year SUNYs. Students with a degree from a NYS community college are considered for transfer based solely on their collegiate transcript, not high school grades or SAT.

You’ll have to check particular colleges to find out if they have particular requirements based on majors. Some do. I don’t believe community colleges do, though, so if you can do well there, you can transfer as long as you meet the university’s requirements.
