In a perfect world we would all get 4.0's in High School taking all APs. Truth is, I didn't I have a 3.0 and 1500 SAT score.

Let's say that I ended up with a 3.5+ GPA in a CA community college, would I be able to end up at these universities:
Carnige Mellon
Cal Tech
Rensellear Polytechnic Institute
Virginia Polytechnic Institute
John Hopkins University
University of Chicago

Please let me know your guys's success stories from CC

I think your best bet would be Rensellear. The other schools are very very selective so you would really have to step it up in cc. I understand you want to go to a tech school but maybe you could broaden your horizons. There’s other amazing schools that would provide the same quality of education. I think you may like some of the UCs, including UCLA, UC Berkeley, UC San Diego, and UC Davis. They all have amazing STEM programs and are close enough to silicon valley! In addition, I would look into all top public universities. This includes UVA, UNC, U Michigan, and two previously mentioned Berkeley and UCLA.

I don’t know where you would like to go to school or what your financial situation is, but there’s also other schools that could be great. I think you should look into Boston University, USC, Penn State, U Wisconsin, U of Miami, Case Western, U of Illinois, & UT Austin.

You can get a 4.0 in CC if you really want to. As a young teenager I wasn’t that good of a student. Trust me, your in much much better shape then I was in high school. I improved significantly during my time in CC. I have a major GPA of 3.9 in Engineering while taking heavy course loads. For example, last semester I took two calculus courses, two physics courses, and a comm course. All it breaks down to in school is time, if you dedicate enough of it you get As.

There are other [usr=“http://theaitu.org”]AITU[/url] tech schools that you could get into with that kind of record and probably with a decent scholarship. I know that my university, Illinois Tech offers merit scholarships to transfer students who are i Phi Kappa Theta (the CC honor society).
