I’m currently a sophomore at my large state school. I spent 2 years on a sports team here but hated the specific sport. I am looking to transfer to a LAC that has a D3 team that I enjoy and academically a better school. I just left my team (a decision I made after I sent my apps in) and I seem to have a lot more free time to do what I like and enjoy it but I don’t know if that is because I’m in the mindset of leaving. I am wondering if it’s even worth leaving if I want to go onto graduate school and possibly do research and here I do have leadership positions but not enjoying my experience and feel like I have spent too much time in my comfort zone since it’s so close to home. I am more concerned about the payoff in the end (is it worth it?). I just want to try something new and actually experience college.
Is cost a major concern or factor for you ? If so, be sure to investigate financial aid policies at your target schools.
Seems as though you may be happy where you are without your athletic obligations. Many enjoy college/university more during grad school than during undergraduate school.
Cost is a concern however the financial aid at the school seems to be enough and sufficient
