Transfer Housing Question

... Do they like... reserve spots in each dorm for transfer students or... how does that work?

I know Morrison is a pretty popular choice & it's where I'd ideally like to be, especially after talking to some current UNC students about the best place to house, but do they let it fill up completely?

If they do, :(
If they don't, does anybody know if a fair amount of rooms are open for transfers?

fingers crossed

There are always rooms open in Hinton James. That’s the place to be.

Lol, is it the place to be because of the rooms, the location, the social aspect, or just - everything?

This definitely can’t be right. There are some dorms that have no rooms open right now.

Also, I think Carolinaboy was being sarcastic.

Idk, but I’ve done my research since I made this post so it’s actually not even really a question of mine anymore. Lol.

Yeah, sorry. I was being sarcastic. You definitely don’t want to end up in HJ. It seems to be the place where a lot of transfer sophomores end up though. Typically a very loud and rowdy dorm. I’m trying to room with a friend at Granville Towers, that seems to be a much better option for transfer students, because you’re able to get some consistency. However, it is probably 80% greek. Lots of cute girls though. Just a bit more expensive, even though it does come with a meal plan.
