Hello,

I am currently attending Roger Williams University in Bristol, RI, which is a nice little university that is pretty isolated and is located right on the water. It's definitely a gorgeous campus, but me being a musician and growing up in a musician family (parents are jazz musicians), I'd much rather prefer going to school in the city somewhere. Now money is a big problem and that is one of the reasons I am attending this school, because I am here tuition free and only paying about 10,000 a year for room/board. I understand that this is very important to consider but I don't feel like I'm in the right place at all here and I really need to get to the city.
So the schools I am really considering trying to transfer to for next fall are Queens College (CUNY), Hunter College (CUNY) which are both in NYC and then the top on my list is Temple University in Philly.
These three schools are all in great locations for me to go out and listen/play some music and enjoy the city life. I play the guitar and love jazz, blues, rock, folk and just about any other type of genre. I really want to be in a place where there's lots of arts, music and other activity always going on!

So first of all I am wondering about which schools you guys think would be the best, I am majoring in psychology but I want to at least minor or possibly double major in music as well. I understand that Temple is located in a rough end of Philly as well but it still seems like the perfect fit for me. My first semester I will probably end up with a 3.9-4.0 gpa and my SAT scores were like a 1650. High school gpa about a 3.5.
I'm also wondering when I should try applying? I know that Temple's transfer deadline is June 1st but I feel like its always better to apply early? At the same time, I wouldn't mind having another semester under my belt when applying to these schools so instead of only having 15 credits completed, I would have 30.

I have so many other questions but I don't want to bother you guys too much.

Basically, I am just wondering what your guys opinion on my situation is, and maybe if there's other colleges/universities that I haven't mentioned that would suit me that would be cool too!

Thank you so much for your time and help!
