I am a current undergraduate student interested in transferring to Pomona, and I was wondering if some people who were successful in transferring there would be able to help answer some questions. I truly believe that it is the best institution for me, and they also offer the major(s) I am interested in while my current school does not.

I was rejected to Pomona in high school, and I was wondering how many transfer students were in the same situation. I will be using the same ACT score that I used in high school, and I was wondering if it would be worth it to retake it (I got a 33). I know I do not have to submit subject tests, but I was also thinking of taking some to submit. Would it be worth my time at all or should I just commit myself to my schoolwork and activities?

I want to make the best case possible for my admission, of course, but I am also curious how much is too much. Right now I am planning on joining, or at least trying to join, 3-5 clubs, all of which I am genuinely interested in being a part of. I do believe that I am able to manage my time well, so I feel it could be worth it and if I am unsuccessful in transferring I think that I will be able to have a more worthwhile experience at my current institution by becoming more involved.

Also, are transfer students well integrated into the community at large?
