Already going to a university in fall, I have always loved football. I have been working on punting/ kicking a lot over the years, due to my parents strict behavior I was never allowed to play a snap of high school football. I have been hitting 50yd+ punts 4.2/4.4 hang time. I practice with some d1 recruits. Wondering if I can transfer to some academically good d3 football team.
What should I do to continue?

Having never played football it will be difficult to be recruited, and doubt that can happen for this fall…even with a seemingly high skill level. Do you have any video of you kicking/punting?

I was planning on transferring my sophomore year so going to a new university in 2021, so I have more time to develop better kicks , would attending a camp/showcase help?
From our experience, I would say yes, attending a kicking camp/showcase would definitely help.
My son is a WR and had virtually no HS film due to a variety of reasons. He attended two camps (one was school specific and one was a camp that pulled multiple schools in), and he received multiple D3 roster spot offers off of the camps. The school specific camp was at the school he will be attending and playing. That school also attended the multiple school camp, and seeing him twice sealed the deal for them. And like I said, other schools offered him roster spots off of that camp.
are there camps available for seniors who will graduate this year ?, most of the are 9-11th grade
Later in the year should I contact the coaches about a possible roster spot? I heard d3 schools more likely to keep players since bigger roster.
I can definitely send them a video of my punts and maybe take a trip and kick for them?
I’d bet you would be welcome at a camp like this one (which is one my son attended), even though it’s for HS players. It’s worth contacting them. The problem with camps this summer is the whole COVID uncertainty, although this one seems to be plowing forward:

And you should go to school specific camps if you are able to next spring/summer. Definitely send them video. I’m not sure if you’d be able to go out and kick in person for them if it isn’t in a camp setting.
The COVID stuff really complicates things–it’s not even clear if there will be a 2020 football season, and that impacts all the normal recruiting timelines as well.
