<p>Need based FA for transfers varies by school, for some it is less than what is available for fr admits, other schools treat transfers and fr students equally. You need to go to the college websites to find their FA policies for transfers; in general, the schools that are more generous with fr are also more generous for transfers.</p>
<p>Institutional merit aid is usually much less for transfer student, both in the number of scholarships offered and the amounts. Go to the Resources sticky thread on the Transfer Students forum for a link to a thread with institutional merit scholarships for transfers.</p>
<p>Outside scholarships for transfers are going to be few and far between for transfers. PTK has some for CC students (mentioned on the sticky thread).</p>
