Hi, I'm a transfer student going to school very far away, and realize I want to go somewhere a lot closer to home. I'm currently a freshman, and I considering some schools I didn't really consider enough coming out of high school.

I'm from close to Philadelphia, so I'm looking at schools like Lafayette, Lehigh, Bucknell, Franklin & Marshall, and Gettysburg. My combined SAT is 2010, high school GPA 3.2 (was a 3.5 before a disastrous senior year). By time I apply for fall admission I will have two quarters of college at a fairly selective/rigorous college under my belt with an expected GPA of 3.4-3.6. I have a good amount of extracurriculars from college and high school. currently I'm heavily involved in a club sport (15 hours/week), training to be an EMT, doing bi-weekly community service, a member of a few various interest clubs, and involved in campus ministry.

So honestly I believe that I will have proven I can do well academically in college while still contributing on campus, but since I wasn't looking at these schools out of high school, I'm not sure how competitive I am for transfer admission. I know some of the schools I mentioned are more selective than others. So do you think I'm competitive? What can I do to become more competitive? My college grades are probably stronger than my high school grades. Which one will they weigh heavier? What other schools similar to the ones I listed should I consider?
