Transfer Students: Still Time to Enroll

Hello,

This is a message to transfer students who are interested in applying to Hofstra University.

We are having Transfer Days throughout the month of August. At a Transfer Day, you will be able to apply and receive an admission decision and credit evaluation, meet with an academic adviser and register for classes.

If you have any questions about Transfer Day or transferring to Hofstra, please reply to this thread.

To register for Transfer Day, click here: Transfer Day Registration

If I’m currently in California, is it at all possible to still apply without physically attending one of these Transfer Days?

Hello SFtoNJ,

Yes, if you’re a transfer student, you can also apply online.

Hi.

My son graduated HS in Nassau County. All AP’s and honors, 3.7 GPA, 1350 SAT’s, 30 ACT. He applied to, and was accepted to Clemson for Fall 2012. He is now re thinking his decision to go away to school, and wants to stay home and attend college. Is there any possible way of applying to Hofstra at this late date? For the record, I asked him numerous times to apply to Hofstra, and to also apply when Hofstra was at his HS last Fall, taking applications, but he didn’t because he was so sure he wanted to go away. I think now he realizes he was doing what everyone else was doing, and did not quite think about what was best for him. I will also be calling Hofstra in the morning.
