Hi. I am a freshman at UVM and I major in finance. I finished my first semester with 3.87 GPA. I am expecting 3.8 - 3.9 GPA at the end of the first year. I scored 1960 on the SAT’s (580 cr 710 m 670 w). I decided to give it a try and apply for a transfer to cornell for either econ major or into aem business school. According to that table: https://dpb.cornell.edu/documents/1000156.pdf transfer rate into CALS is much higher than that into CAS. I know, however, that AEM has a transfer rate much lower than CALS in general. I can’t find the exact numbers online though. Can someone tell me what is the real difference in a transfer rate to AEM and CAS (more specifically econ major). Thank you very much.
Don’t have specific numbers, but I know many transfers in AEM (and none in CAS econ, though it does happen). It’s definitely competitive, but so are all of the schools. If you’re qualified to get into CAS, chances are you’re also qualified to get into AEM, and vice-versa.
