Hello all,
I’m considering transferring from GU to BC and I’m curious as to what the atmosphere is like, the competativeness of the clubs and student body… and just, the people in general. I’ve not yet had a chance to visit, but I’m getting around to it.
Additionally, how difficult is the transition for transfer students?
Is it difficult to… find a niche? Or just… not too bad?
Thanks

For the fall of 2012, BC received 2019 transfer applications, and accepted 220 of them. That’s an 11% acceptance rate.

What is it that you don’t like about GU that will be different at BC?

I’m not particularly concerned about the lower acceptance rate, just because I have a 3.9 GPA at GU and it’s a similar academic merit.

What would be different? Mostly location and proximity to home and friends. There are certain reasons I have for wanting to move back up to the Northeast, transportation costs being one of them.
Also, GU doesn’t have much of a campus, and while I knew that upon attending the school, I find the lack of green space rather disconcerting.
I’m considering other schools rather than BC but I find Boston, or near Boston, very, very appealing.

also, could anyone tell me about any outstanding differences between the two schools?
