Transferring 5+ times. FASHION SCHOOL to Harvard

Well, not quite. Not Harvard. LOL.

I currently attend Fashion Institute in NYC, and just completed my first semester there. I graduate in December with an associates in Advertising and Marketing (accelerated 1 year program).

And seeing as I'm getting an associates, would I apply to schools as a transfer? This degree doesn't really include the same courses as other schools, so I imagine I'd start from scratch. I don't care if I do, I'm just wondering.

What is the likelihood of getting into an undergrad program (business)? The schools I'm looking at are NYU, Georgetown, George Washington, etc.

This may be laughable, but I'd rather get input.

HS: ~3.9 GPA
SAT: 1800
School 1 (UCF): 3.75 cumulative
School 2 (Rutgers): 4.0
School 3 (FIT): 3.78
ROUGH CUMULATIVE ~ 3.804

I'm also currently taking summer courses, have had several jobs throughout this time, an internship, participation in EC, ...

Let me know. I'm not stupid, I have potential (I hope). I want move upwards, and would like some input.

Once you’ve completed 1 year of full time post-HS college coursework, you will be considered a transfer at all colleges.

Your courses in advertising and marketing do not have equivalents in the business schools you are trying to enter? Are you sure?

Each school should have a page for prospective transfers detailing what is required. Your GPA is fine – that’s not the issue. You need to see whether they require that transfer applicants have taken a certain set of courses, and if so, how your curriculum matches up to those requirements.

yes it’s doable…3.8 is strong…I transferred twice and got into a bunch of top 20 schools the 2nd time…you may lose credits and have to do 3 years wherever you end up

Hey yolocholo, i am trying to transfer to another school. i have already transferred once before. i am just wondering how do schools look upon multiple transfer in the admission process? what were your reasons for transferring again if you dont mind telling

from my experience they don’t care, was only rejected by 2 of the 11 I applied to…check out the decisions thread for results.

I transferred b/c of finaid issues @ my current school
