Hi. So I am currently enrolled in the business school of a pretty decent university (one of the top 30 in the US) however I don’t like it here. It’s not inspiring to me. I didn’t want to transfer after the first year as I wanted to give it time but it’s just not the right fit. USC has been my dream school, I was waitlisted for fall 2017 but I didn’t hear back so I enrolled in my current university. I now want to transfer there after my sophomore year, for my junior and senior year. My gpa was 3.4-3.5 this past year.
Could anyone please give me tips or help me in what I should do? What is the best thing to work on in order to be accepted at USC? Is there anyone who has transferred to USC?
I would appreciate any help! Thanks.
USC does not have a waitlist, they never have, just fyi. There is a transfer thread every year that you should read through. There are always helpful active threads on the forum, check those out too. USC also has EVERYTHING transfers need to do on their website, read all of it. It is pretty clear. Still, every year, transfers with 4.0s are rejected, their admissions are holistic, so acceptance isn’t easy to predict. Good luck!

What university are you at right now?
Coming from a 4-year your GPA is still okay. As said above, there is no guarantee, so you might want to look at other options too. Just try to do your best in your classes. Also, make sure to explain why you want to transfer and how USC would be different.
