Hi! I just got accepted to Smith as a transfer student and will likely be attending in the fall of 2018. I found out that I will be entering as a 1st semester sophomore with a 4 credit shortage because the credits for one of my classes did not transfer over. Is this a big deal? How difficult will it be for me to take an additional class one semester?
That is a good question to ask in the Smith forum here, or to ask the students at Smith. The transfer admission officer shoukd be able to help you get in touch with current students there.
Thanks! Will definitely ask when I visit the campus in a few weeks!
Four hours is only one class or close to it and will be needed to complete you degree in three years. It seems like transfers could reasonably expect to lose credit when changing to a school with slightly different graduation requirements. Enjoy your new school.
