Will it be harder to get into most graduate schools from a CSU. Such as majoring in biology at CSUS and later on going onto a UC such as UCLA for medical school. Is this possible through the CSU system?
It’s absolutely possible. If you’re interested in transferring, it’s actually easier than freshman admissions if you’ve already proven capable of handling a college course load. You will want to speak with an academic counselor about course articulation between your CSU and the UC you’re considering.
Graduate schools care a lot less about the name/prestige of your undergraduate indtitution than most people think. Your scores on standardized tests like the GRE or MCAT, and demonstrated capacity for strong work (writing or research samples, etc.) are much more important.
Your title of the thread is kinda misleading, but your description made me get what you are saying.
Of course you can get into medical school from a CSU! I am planning to do the same process for Statistics. I have been planning to do this ever since sophomore year of high school; I think it is the best pathway for me.
Also, the University of Miami Class of 2019 for Medicine has two students from the CSU system. One is from California Polytechnic and the other is from San Jose.

Fight for your dreams! Good luck.
