Transferring from community college, chance me for these schools?

I’m currently a business major in a community college in NY and I’m applying to transfer as a finance or economics major this fall semester to numerous schools. Right now, I have a 3.9 GPA and I’ll have 66 credits by the end of the spring semester.

First off, here are my ‘stats’:

English 1 and 2: Both As
Intro to Macro and Micro econ: Both As
Intro to Stats: A
College Algebra: A
Finite Math: A
Elementary Spanish 1: B+
Elementary Spanish 2: A
Environmental Science: B+
Principles of Accounting 1 and 2: Both As
Intro to Marketing: A
Intro to Psychology: A
Public Speaking: A-
Business Ethics: A

There are a few other courses I took that I can’t remember right now, but I got As in all of them. I’m taking 2 courses this spring, business calculus and computer applications in business, and I’ll probably do well in both of them. The only knocks are that my high schools grades aren’t that great and I don’t really have any ECs… With that being said, I’d appreciate if you can chance me for as many of the following schools as you can:

UNC Chapel Hill (economics major here, finance major for all the others)
UNC Wilmington
U of Florida
FSU
UCF
Rutgers
Syracuse
SUNY Binghamton
SUNY Albany
SUNY Geneseo
SUNY Stony Brook
SUNY Buffalo

Thanks in advance!

What does the transfer advisor at your CC tell you about those places? Surely he or she can give you a good estimate for the SUNYs and for Syracuse if not for any of the others.

I’m not a transfer advisor, and I don’t know anything about the places on your list. The transfer advisor at your CC is your best source of advice. If he/she isn’t familiar with the places you’d like to apply to, ask if he/she can put you in touch with a colleague at a close-by CC who does have that expertise.

Wishing you all the best!
