Transferring from Harvard Extension

I'm currently a full time undergraduate at the Harvard Extension School and have a 3.0 GPA. I'm hoping to move it up to at least a 3.4 by the end of the semester. I'm considering on transferring to Columbia GS next fall. Would admissions look down on my 3.0 GPA even though the courses are just as rigorous (if not, exactly the same) at Harvard College?

Also, I took the ACT over a year ago and got a 25...should I retake it?

Thanks in advance for your input!

Why do you want to transfer from HES?

I’ll second that. What is it about GS?

I’d say you’d do well to boost your GPA. Also, your ACT is definitely on the low end. The 25/75 percentile scores I’ve seen are somewhere in the 31/35 range.

Your essay and your letters of recommendation are going to matter quite a bit, too. How do you feel about those? How can we help?
