I am currently a sophomore with SFSU majoring in microbiology. My overall GPA is 3.83. I would have had a 4.0 except for one class freshmen year. It was freshmen composition and I had a problem with the teacher. Of course, I accept blame but it did result in a C-. I took second year composition and received an A so would that prove I am fine with English? Also I took Calculus in college and did badly in my high school algebra 2 class. Does that mean my application will be rejected? I have also have had interned at medical facility and at a private practice. Also, yes again, I can get a letter of recommendation from a USC alumni. Do my chances of transferring look alright?

One C- on an otherwise good application will not rule you out. Now that I’ve said that, your next assignment is to read this thread. It is as comprehensive an answer as you will get here:
