Hi,
My daughter is now 13 years old and she wants to study in a university in the U.S. We want to keep her here with us in Vietnam for as long as possible. She studies in an international school and they provide us with International Baccalaureate (IB) examinations and they say it's accepted in America. But I was wondering if sending her to the U.S to a boarding school for her to study SATs and ACTs there would be better. Please keep in mind she's going to be taking her IGCSEs in her 9th and 10th grade. What should I do?
Thank you.

There are SAT and ACT test locations in Vietnam.

Be aware that universities in the US can be very expensive for international students.

Thank you I think we can handle the fee since we already pay about $20000 every year for each of our children anyways

If you can afford it, a year or two at an American boarding school would be invaluable preparation, not only for tests but for cultural adjustment. Some of the most elite schools have few openings for upperclassmen, and only offer them to outstanding athletes. There are also a number of summer language programs. My sons both attended a boarding school with IB, and had Vietnamese classmates. If you would like the name, send me a private message.
