Transferring to Cal Poly Pomona

Hey everybody.

I am currently applying for Cal Poly Pomona's winter quarter.

However, I have a question. I did not pass a class at a community college (Grossmont), but I made it up at a different community college (San Diego City). Would I need to get my grade petitioned? I spoke to someone at the admissions and records office and they said that I could do that (send transcript to Grossmont along with a petition to get grade changed). I just want to know if should go through that process, or does anyone know if Cal Poly is going to average the grades out or take the passing grade.

A few notes:
-It was an English Read/Comp class.
-Took it at Grossmont in 2009, passed it at City in 2010.

Thank you.

As far as I heard that grade is always with you. Even though you made it up it’s still there, you just showed that you passed the class after, but like i said it will be there and bring your overall GPA down.
