I am only somewhat considering this for now, but would Umich see that i declined their offer once already if I do choose to attempt a transfer next year? I was recently accepted off the first wave of deferrals but I can not attend since I also got accepted to NYU from ED II. If I did have a choice I’d choose Mich though. I don’t know if I will try to transfer since I applied to NYU knowing I would like it anyways, but there is still a possibility I won’t like it or some other factors that would lead me to transfer. If I choose to transfer, then will they look favorably on me if I tell them I couldn’t attend the previous year since I was locked in an ED agreement? Also, I’ve heard that it is very hard to externally transfer to Ross, like 1% chance or something. Is that true? And will they have an option where my first choice is Ross and my second choice is LSA physics or econ? And how hard is it to transfer into LSA compared to acceptance from high school? Being from a similarly ranked(NYU CAS econ) college would help too right?
- Not sure, but it doesn't hurt to let them know
- Yeah, its VERY difficult to transfer into Ross; its safer to try for LSA.
- I don't think you can pick a first or second choice, its all or nothing
- Assuming you did well in context of your school, NYU, you'd be fine transferring into LSA
