hi, anyone tranferring to Bentley next fall 2009? If you do, where r u transferring from? nationality, age, major, and such things would be nice to know as well!

I’m transferring to Bentley in the fall. Did a year a community college to figure out what i wanted to do. I’m twenty and am majoring in accounting. I can’t wait to move in…so excited.

tell me about the positive stuff about Bentley. Half the stuff I read says its a great business school with unbelievable connections and great job placement. The other half says it is a place for trust fund kids who have good grades, but couldn’t get into the ivies.

well, I havent been there…but believe me, i have done a lot of research about the school before transferring. If you want to major in accounting or finance, it is a good option. I cannot say the same about other majors, because they seem to be so concentrated in those two majors. It is a small school, with high tech. they have a trading room and a marketing center that are top notch. they have a 94% of job/graduate program placement after graduation. of course there will be trust fund kids who have good grades but couldn’t get into the ivies, but you will find smart people as well. do not let generalizations make u have a wrong perspective. Reviews indicate that the campus is gorgeous. they do not have an outstanding food service (considering the price they charge).

do not let generalizations make you get a wrong perspective about the school. you’ll find trust fnd kids who have good grades but couldn’t get into the ivies everywhere. I am not one of those, and I will be on campus next fall. Juts concentrate in the things that the school has to offer, and if you consider that it will be a great fit, go for it. From this point on, I am just thinking in achieve an outstangind performance the next to years, so that I can compensate in some part the fact that it is not a top 5 school. that is the only way to get in competition with those at the ivies.
